Delicious 7 Layer Bean Dip In A Jar

Do you like 7 layer bean dip but it is too big to take with you on the go or work for lunch? Looking for some good snack foods for your next tailgating fun with your friends. Well, we have something tasty for you!  Grandma loved to make this recipe and all of our get togethers would mean lots of snacks, sparkling grape juice, and board games until midnight. We took grandma’s famous seven-layer bean tip that appeared at every BBQ and party for as long as I can remember and now we made it fun size! This is perfect to wrap in foil and set in the ice chest to take to the game for tailgating. Each person can have their own and you don’t have to lug around the big bowl of dip! This recipe will make 4 1/2 pint canning jars of dip so if you need more you can double it or triple it easily.

7 Layer Bean Dip Instructions:

Wash 4- half pint mason jars, their lids and rings, and dry them all completely.
In a little mixing bowl measure the sour cream. Measure the seasonings into it and stir well to combine completely. You don’t want dry bits in someones mouth when expecting some amazing dip! Taste and see if it needs a bit more flavor. If you like it spicy, add a bit of cayenne or other seasonings that you like here.
Using a spoon begin to layer all of your ingredients into the jars. Start with the refried pinto beans and dollop that inside of the jar, smoothing it down the best you can. Add a layer of the seasoned sour cream, and continue adding and smoothing all of the ingredients into jars.
Cover with the clean canning jar and ring or you can use plastic wrap and a rubber band if you are not traveling with them. You will need to keep this refrigerated or in your cooler if you are taking it to the game. Serve with your favorite corn chips.  Enjoy!
