Hamburgers

It is like a taco on a burger and it borrows those wonderful flavors that we love from south of the border. A delicious juicy beef patty with spiced black beans, delicious cheese and spicy salsa and a touch of guacamole on a jalapeno bun. This is anything but boring.

This burger is a delicious mix of mushrooms and swiss cheese and creamy alfredo sauce. I first had one like it at Cheddar’s restaurant and fell in love!  I had it again recently and I didn’t like the changes they made in it. They added pickles, lettuce, mayo and mustard and removed the alfredo sauce. It was gross.  So, we decided to make our own mushroom swiss burger. Try it out and let us know what you think. We try to use organic stuff when we cook but use what you have or what you can. 

Don’t mess with Texas! We reached out to our Texas cousins for some big Texas flavors for this burger. Packed with pulled BBQ pork, fried jalapenos, crispy onions, Ortega chilies, pepper jack cheese, and bacon. One thing is for sure this baby is as big and flavorful as it’s namesake. 

The Pearl Harbor Burger is packed with some amazing rich flavors like roasted seaweed, pineapple, starfruit, pearl onions, nitrate free bacon, sharp cheddar and sweet chili sauce. Grab a napkin and dig into this delicious burger. 

Get ready for a real treat! We were looking for burgers for our series of delicious hamburgers that packed a one, two punch with great flavors. So, we came up with this New York Burger!  Here we used juicy corned beef, tangy sauerkraut, and stout swiss cheese top this amazing juicy beef patty and  packed with unforgetable flavor that will delight your tastebuds.

We have been working hard at the cottage to find you some great burger recipes to keep you busy during the summer making lots of great burgers for your guests. Here is a nod to our childhood with our latest in our burger series. This one we affectionately call The Dr Seuss Burger, you know- “Green Eggs and Ham”?  The Dr Seuss Burger has a Tender beef patty on a soft bun topped with a delicious fried egg cooked to perfection.  Top that with a slice of nitrate-free ham, fried onions, melted Colby Jack cheese and slices of green jalapeno peppers (you can use a sweet pepper if you prefer!).
