This is the Holy Land Photo of the Golden Gate or also called Mercy Gate It is the Golden Gate that Jesus entered on the foal of a donkey on Palm Sunday and was recorded in the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. It was also called the Mercy Gate for at the Justinian period the Israeli people could not enter the temple they would gather at this gate and pray for mercy and then it it also called the Shushan gate.
