What You Will Need To Make Your Own Homemade Citrus Cleaner
- Measuring Cups
- Measuring Spoons
- Large Canning Jar or Pickle Jar
How To Make This Fantastic Homemade Citrus Cleaner
- Orange, Lemon or Grapefruit Peels (you can also add a citrus essential oil but we prefer to do it this way)
4 Cups of white Vinegar
1/2 Teaspoon Organic Castile Liquid Soap
- 1 Cup of water
Save all of your orange, lemon, or grapefruit peels and place them in a mason jar (or another jar that seals on top).
Fill it to the top with vinegar and replace the lid. Sit it in your cabinet for 7-14 days (I do 14) and it really releases the citrus oil from the peels.
Strain the peels from the vinegar, you can either discard them or throw them in the compost bin like we do so they don’t go to waste.
Take 1/2 cup of the vinegar and pour it into a squirt bottle, fill the rest of the way with water and Castille soap.
Place lid on top of the bottle and secure tightly. Shake the bottle and use.

You can also use this homemade cleaner recipe to clean your dog house, in the goat barn, or even as a chicken coop cleaner.
