This cream of celery soup is a condensed soup recipe. This recipe is perfect for use when

What is cream of celery soup made of? The ingredients of the canned cream of celery soup are water, celery, oil in the form of corn, canola and soybean oil, modified corn starch, wheat flour, cream, milk, salt, soy protein concentrate, sugar, yeast extract (MSG), spice extract, beta carotene, onion powder, flavor.

What is the difference in cream of mushroom soup and cream of celery soup? Our condensed Cream of mushroom soup has sauteed mushrooms, onions and garlic in it where the cream of celery soup has celery, and onions and garlic that are sauteed in butter.

What can I substitute cream of celery soup for? You can substitute the condensed cream of celery soup for condensed cream of mushroom or condensed cream of chicken depending on your own taste.

Does cream of celery soup taste like cream of chicken? Condensed cream of celery soup has the same general texture as cream of chicken soup but it does have a celery taste and does not have bits of chicken in it.

Can I use cream of mushroom or cream of celery soup for cream of chicken? Yes, you should be able to use it in place of the cream of chicken in a recipe.

 Can I make condensed cream of celery soup gluten free? Yes, although we have not tried it, you should be able to make a thickener for the soup with arrowroot, cornstarch or tapioca flour.

Cream of Celery Soup Recipe

  • 1/2 cup of chicken broth or bone broth or vegetable broth
  • 1/4 cup of grass fed butter
  • 1/4 of a cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup of celery
  • 1/2 yellow onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk or cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 tsp Pink Himalayan Salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Instructions:

  • Wash your celery
  • Slice off the top and bottom of onion and peel the dry skin and set aside.
  • Peel garlic
  • Using a food processor chop your onion, garlic and celery finely.  If you don’t have a food processor mince the garlic, onion and celery fine.
  • Place your sauce pan on the stove and turn on medium low and melt your butter.
  • When the butter has melted add your vegetables to your pan and stir them until they are tender. Salt and pepper them to taste.
  • Measure the flour to the pan and stir for one minute to cook the flour.
  • Add the bone broth or chicken broth and whisk and add the milk or cream and continue to whisk it in until combined
  • Whisk continually until the soup begins to thicken.

Instructions
