We love to make a stuffed Pain Perdu, it is super easy to make, and absolutely delicious (and mom-approved!). We like to make it for a special occasion it is so quick and easy to make but it really is special.
Pain Perdu literally means “lost bread”. It was a way for French women to use up the stale bread in the house so it would not go to waste. It was made of thick slices of baguettes and cooked to perfection. You can use any bread that you have on hand and if it is going stale or not.

Makes 1 Serving
Ingredients:
Cream Cheese
Jam or Jelly of your choice
2 slices of bread
2 eggs beaten
Splash of heavy cream
A few drops liquid vanilla Stevia
Powdered sugar for the topping.
