Green Chili by Rosevine Cottage Girls

Green Chili

This original green chili recipe is made with a super hot chili that from what I hear only grows in New Mexico.  My friend’s mom would make it and it was so spicy I could only wipe my spoon in the juice and then put that on the tortilla.  It was very tasty but so hot I had to run for the OJ.  The family would laugh at me as they would eat it by the bowl. Whew!!! Hot stuff!
Well, I didn’t know how to get the chili peppers or what they were called so this was my attempt to feed that craving for her green chili and still have taste buds. Ha ha! You can make this as hot as you want just adjust your peppers to taste.
Here you go friends, on the wonderful adventure of my version of Ms. Mellie’s

Use on top of tacos, for sauce tostadas, on enchiladas. Good on nachos too, or you can just eat it by the bowl like Mr. Joe.  This is for you Ms. Mellie and in memory of Mr. Joe.
