Ice Cream Sandwich on a white milk glass lace plate with chocolate sauce | rosevinecottagegirls.com

Ice Cream Sandwich

Spread the love
I really love a good ice cream sandwich. It was one of grandma’s favorite treats when she would go out in town for the day. We would always find the wrappers in the car when she would get home and wish we would have gone out adventuring with her. This is a little fancy version of her favorite. This would be great to serve as a dessert at a dinner party, fun for an ice cream social, or just a hot summer day.

Ingredients:

Ice cream (You can use whatever flavor you like, we used vanilla)
Pizzelle (Italian Waffle Cookies)
Carob Sauce *Optional

Directions:

Make your Carob Sauce. Let it cool so that it begins to get thick again. Drizzle about a quarter size circle of Carob Sauce in the center of the cookie, then take a scoop of ice cream and place it onto the Carob. Again being really careful not to break up the cookie. Slowly drizzle the carob sauce over the ice cream. Then place the second cookie on top at a slight angle
