This dry Italian seasoning mix is so delicious. It, of course, makes a wonderful Italian salad dressing in just a couple of minutes, but it is also excellent as a seasoning for meat. I love to use it on chicken to make the most delicious meal. Sprinkle the chicken with the seasoning mix and throw it in the oven or on the grill. It is really fantastic!
Homemade Italian Salad Dressing: Fresh, Flavorful & Ready in Minutes
If you’ve ever grabbed a store-bought bottle of Italian dressing and thought, “This is fine… I guess,” prepare to have your mind blown by how much better the homemade version tastes. Italian dressing is one of those simple recipes that delivers huge flavor with barely any effort—just whisk, shake, and drizzle your way to a brighter, fresher salad.
The best part? You probably already have most of the ingredients in your pantry.
Why Make Italian Dressing at Home?
Sure, packaged dressings are convenient, but homemade has some big advantages:
1. Fresher Flavor
Bottled dressings often lose vibrancy over time. Fresh herbs, real garlic, and good olive oil make all the difference.
2. You Control the Ingredients
No preservatives, no stabilizers—just clean, simple, wholesome ingredients.
3. It’s Cheaper
A batch of homemade dressing costs a fraction of what a premium bottled version does.
4. Customizable
Prefer sharp acidity? Add more vinegar. Want it creamy? Whisk in a spoonful of mayo or Greek yogurt. Spice lover? A pinch of red pepper flakes.
