Jet Lag | California Trip Day 2

Posted on January 18, 2015May 30, 2019 by Rosevine Cottage Girls
Spread the love

I woke up with a sore throat, bad cough, leg cramps and jet lag this morning. On the first day here! I ended up sleeping most of the day, waking up just in time to see all the family. It was so good to see everyone despite the cold. While the adults chatted my younger cousins played tag and Ping-Pong on the covered patio interchangeably between rain showers…  It was so fun to watch, wish I felt better because I would be playing with them. Later we went and got burgers at In and Out I took photos and sent them to our friends from California that love In and Out back home. : ) When we got back to my Aunt Debbie’s they had ordered Pizza and chocolate cookies (Ooooppps).  The children were excited to be eating all of the goodies and then soon resumed running in and out of the house playing.

Later, after everyone left Mrs. Cottage, Brianna and I slipped out to the Jacuzzi. It was so nice! The heat on my poor sore muscles was wonderful. It even seemed to help my cough. I wanted to swim so bad so I tried sticking a hand in the pool just to see if I could handle it and swim… I couldn’t. Way too cold! But the Jacuzzi was really really nice. Tomorrow is Grandma Cottage’s Memorial service. It seems so weird… to be here without her. She would have loved to have us all together like this. Sad that it has to be this way.

I miss you grandma.

Keep up with our adventures! Day 1 Day 3
