Keep Running

Don’t quit! We have to keep running and stay in the race. Don’t give up! But what does running the race mean?

Keep Running, Stay in the Race, Don't give up, by Rosevine Cottage Girls

Let’s look at what the bible says!

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 1 Corinthians 9:24

Keep Running But What Is The Race?

But what is this race we must keep running?  This race is the Christian life,  the life where we strive to be more Christ-like and less of our former selves.

Keep running, means to run in such a way as to win the prize. You can’t win the race from the back, you can’t win it when you are focusing on the pain and the burning of your muscles, you have to focus on the finish line. Keep Running! You can’t when you are looking from side to side at others, we aren’t competing against one another. We need to Focus. On. The. End.

Keep Running Quote

Keep Running – Even When We Stumble

When we stumble with sin we can’t wallow in it but quickly repent, push ourselves back up from the dust and keep running. Keep pressing ahead. We have to continue to read His word, continue to hide it in our hearts. Stand your ground on His word (the bible) and give everything else a run for its money. It may seem small and insignificant to you, on your little lane running your heart out, but others are watching. They’re watching how you run, how you live your life, how you speak. The world is watching, you are on a pedestal and the person in front of you is your mission field.

How Do I Keep Running?

How are you going to run your race? Who are people going to see when you stumble? When you push yourself up from the ground and keep running. Who are they going to see when you’re tired and hurting? When you just want to stop and every step you take is by sheer will.

Training To Run The Race

To keep running and win the race you must train, you build up your stamina your strength until finally you can enter the race and win. To train, you have to study his Word until it is burned onto your heart and then begins to control how you act, how you live, how you run. Because if your heart isn’t in it- you won’t be winning the prize.

Bible Verses To Encourage You To Keep Running And Not Give Up

1 Corinthians 9:24

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:29-31

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9

No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Hebrews 12:11

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. James 1:12

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Colossians 3:23-24
