The year is 1772, Keturah and her sisters find themselves the heirs of their father’s estate, and in a desperate place. Their plantation in the West Indies is failing, and they have one choice. Sail there and try to save what is left of their heritage before they are left penniless.

Follow their journey across the ocean to a land they’ve only heard tales about and their father made them promise never to visit. But the voyage is only the first of many trials they must endure, hurricanes, disease, and the “norm” of the island all wait to test the girls mettle. Can Keturah surrender her stubbornness and learn to trust God again? Can she and her sisters make a life in this new world they find themselves in and save the plantation? Or will they lose themselves and everything they are working to save?

What We Thought Of Keturah

This was a wonderful book! I didn’t want it to end and can’t wait to read the next book in the series. This book will take you on an amazing adventure with the three Banning sisters as they journey from the home in England to the West Indies in one last effort to save the failing sugar plantation. The characters are believable, their struggles and joys woven through the pages will leave you on the edge of your seat. Don’t miss this book!
