King’s Hawaiian Rolls

Today we are sharing our version of King’s Hawaiian Rolls. These are SO good! Lightly sweet and deliciously soft. We wanted something special for one of our Hawaii inspired hamburgers and went to the store to buy these but the ingredients were not things that we eat, so we tried our hand at a more healthy and soy-free version of the King’s Hawaiian Rolls. They came out really well so we just had to share with our friends.

King’s Hawaiian Rolls Recipe

3 1/2 Cups Organic All-Purpose Flour
1/4 Cup Raw Sugar
1 1/3 Teaspoon Himalayan Pink Salt
2 1/4 Teaspoons Yeast
3/4 Cup Pineapple Juice
1/3 Cup Coconut Oil
1 Free Range Egg (Lightly Beaten)
1/2 Cup Heavy Cream (Warmed)

Glaze:

2 Tablespoons Honey
1 Egg White (Lightly Beaten)

In a mixer with a bread hook attached, dissolve yeast with cream. Let sit for 5 minutes, then whisk in coconut oil, egg, pineapple juice, raw sugar, and salt. Turn the mixer on low and add flour until the dough forms a ball pulling away from the edges of the bowl. Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead until smooth. Place in an oiled bowl and cover with oiled plastic wrap, leave in a warm place until doubled in size. Punch the dough back down and divide into 12 pieces. Place in a 9×13 baking dish, return to the warm place for 30 minutes. Gently brush the glaze over the rolls. Bake at 375 for 23 minutes. Allow them to cool for 5 minutes.
