Healthy Magic Shell Recipe

Magic shell is a delicious treat to pour on your ice cream but it is one we could not eat because of the ingredients. We have some pretty bad food allergies so we needed something that was delicious, soy-free, and healthy. This brought us to this chocolate magic shell recipe. 
This chocolate magic shell will harden when it hits the cold ice cream surface and it is so delicious and does not have all of those unhealthy ingredients that other kinds of chocolate syrups have.

We have our own version below. Check it out.  Don’t worry if you don’t have organic ingredients. Just use what you have.
 

What you will need 

  • Small saucepan
  • Wooden spoon or whisk
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons
  • Apron (to protect your clothes)

 

Healthy Chocolate Magic Shell

 

Ingredients:

  • Organic coconut oil unrefined
  • Organic carob powder, caco or unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Raw Honey, Honey or Maple Syrup
  • Vanilla Extract

 Directions:

Slowly heat the coconut oil, carob powder, and honey together in a small pan. Stir until ingredients are melted. Add vanilla. Pour warm shell sauce over ice cream or dessert of choice. Store leftover in an air-tight container in the refrigerator. Reheat over low to reuse.
