The Best Homemade Pizza Rolls Recipe

Kids seem to love pizza rolls but as a healthy mom, I was always concerned about what my girls ate. So when the girls had friends over to our house I wanted to give them something really delicious but up to my standards of being healthy. It can’t have soy, high fructose corn syrup or hydrogenated fats and other chemicals and preservatives.  Enter this healthy Pizza Rolls Recipe!
 
These are so delicious hot and steamy out of the oven and an absolute hit with the kiddos! The best part is they are so easy to make! Once you make this pizza rolls recipe you will never go back to buying them from the store again. 
 
 

 

If you’ve never experienced the amazing goodness of a pizza roll let me introduce you. It’s everything you love about pizza shrunk down into a couple of bites. When cooked right the dough is a crisp pocket filled with sauce and cheese. They are perfect as a snack food or as something quick and easy for a party.

The answer to if pizza rolls are healthy really comes down to what is in them if you are buying them at the store the likely answer is no. But if you make them as we do, you can leave out all the nasty ingredients and have a much healthier snack. 

 

How To Make Pizza Rolls

What You Need:

 

Pizza Rolls Recipe

Filling:

  • Cheese
Dough:
  • 2 Cups Organic Unbleached Flour
  • 1 Teaspoon Celtic Sea Salt
  • 1/3 Cup Cream
  • 2/3 Cup Organic Milk
  • 2 Tablespoons Organic Butter
 

Directions:

In a mixing bowl put your flour and sea salt mix together until combined then slice your butter into thin slices and add to flour and salt mixture.

Add cream and milk and stir until it forms a thick dough.

Roll out and cut into strips.

Add a small dab of sauce, and add cheese of your liking.

Fold dough over and press sides firmly down.

Bake for 27 minutes at 350 degrees F. And serve.

 

Storage Tips

 

Once your pizza rolls are done, store any that you haven’t eaten in an airtight container in the refrigerator. You could also lay them out on a baking sheet and freeze them for later.
