You guys know our love for using natural elements in our seasonal decor, so of course, we had to bring them into our rustic fall decor this year. Last year we did one with all of the apples we had, so this year we decided to do a different look with a farmhouse pear decor.
This fall decor look was so fun to put together! We went with warm gold, tarnished silver, and wood tones.
Rustic Farmhouse Seasonal Decor
Last year we went with a minimalistic apple mantel, this year we wanted to do an early fall / late summer look. We kept with our white Ikea couch covers and added cozy throw pillows to the couches. Over the back of the couch we placed soft cream blankets to give the room a warmer feel.
On our coffee table, we placed a cream lace table cloth, we chose to lay it diagonally across the table so the wood would still show. For a centerpiece, we brought in the pears from the rustic fall mantel we used a wooden bread bowl filled with pears

For our fall mantel, we created another pallet painting this round we went with a simple pear. Luckily the wood was already had a beautiful weathered look to it. We used chalk to lightly sketch the pear, then filled it in with acrylic paint. To one side of it, we added a strip of gold leaf for a bit of shine. Honestly, it felt so weird to put gold on a pallet that was in the trash pile before Mr. Cottage brought it home.
To either side of the artwork, we placed vintage tarnished silver candlesticks with white taper candles. And along the front of our rustic fall mantel, we added heirloom pears straight from our trees. For the garland, we used a simple strand of cotton from Hobby Lobby. To bring the look together we also took a string of simple leaves from the dollar store. To give them a bit of shine, we brushed the edges in gold leaf to match the pear in our artwork- and because I’m a little obsessed with it! We restored a gorgeous antique mirror this week that we can’t wait to share with you!
In front of the fireplace, we placed this adorable crate with a rolled blanket, to the other side we sat a matching pair of bronze candleholders.
