Seek me in the morning…
Seek me
SEEK ME IN THE MORNING
Seek me in the morning and let me whisper peace to your heart and take your burdens as your day begins. Find me in the sunrise, the quiet whisper of the wind, the dew on the grass, and the clap of the leaves. Of all of these, it’s you in whom I find the most pleasure, It’s your praise I long to hear. Your burdens I want to carry. Your love I seek.
SEEK ME AMIDST THE BEAUTY
Seek Me Even Amid The Distractions
Seek me, despite all of the piles of laundry down the hall and the sink full of dishes. Seek me, despite the un-swept floors and the toys scattered here and there. Seek me when work has piled up and you feel like you are behind in everything. Seek me, when your heart is heavy, and when it’s bursting. Come to me in sorrow and in joy.
What Does It Mean By Seeking God?
Seeking God means that we make the effort moment by moment day by day to seek him. We spend time in his word (the bible) learning about him and his will for my life. It means taking the time to pray and talk to the Lord. It means taking time even amid my busy schedule to turn our thoughts to God. It means memorizing the bible and meditating on it so that we may be able to rightly live for him.
How Do I Seek God?
You seek God by making time for him.
You seek him by praying.
You seek the Lord by spending time regularly reading and setting the bible to memory.
You seek him by allowing him into your life to direct, and lead you in how you should live.
How Do I Seek God With My Whole Heart?
We need to come to him in repentance. We need to worship him. Singing praise songs and worship him. We need to make him a priority. God speaks to us through the bible. We need to regularly read it and commit it to memory. We need to talk to him in prayer. We need to commit to living our lives as he directs us to in his word.
How can I put God first in my life?
You put God first by making time for him. By living for him out loud in front of others and not being ashamed. You put God first by spending time with him reading his word, listening to the bible audio in the car, by listening to worship music, spending time with other believers worshiping him. By sharing your faith with others. By memorizing what he said in the bible and then living it out boldly.
