Try our delicious South of the Border Burger recipe tonight for something different. It is like a taco on a burger and it borrows those wonderful flavors that we love from south of the border. A delicious juicy beef patty with spiced black beans, delicious cheese and spicy salsa and a touch of guacamole on a jalapeno bun. This is anything but boring. Can be tailored to those with sensitive stomachs or little ones that don’t like spicy food.
Ingredients:
Black Beans
Lettuce
Salsa
Guacamole
Jack or Cheddar Cheese
Beef Patties
Jalapeno Cheese Hamburger Bun
Garlic Powder
Himalayan Pink Salt
Onion Powder
Mayonnaise
pinch of cayenne (if desired)
Pinch of cumin
Pinch of Chili Powder
Directions:
Heat beans in a small pan and add a pinch of chili powder and cayenne (if desired) and cumin.
Cook burger patties as desired. Sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, pepper and onion powder.
Melt cheese over patty.
In a small bowl place some mayonnaise and put in a pinch of chili powder and mix well.
Spread mayonnaise over the bun, cover with a piece of lettuce top that with the meat.
Spoon beans over the top, sprinkle with cheese then spoon over salsa and guacamole.
