Sweet And Spicy Wings

 

 

These sweet and spicy wings are just as the title says sweet and spicy.  They are a wonderful meal with a great big salad and your favorite dressing to dip them in or as a great snack to serve during the game.  We love these so much! Brianna came up with this excellent recipe.  Let us know in the comments below what you think.

What you will need

Sweet and Spicy Wings

Ingredients:

 
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder

Sauce
1/3 cup olive oil
2/3 cup honey
3 cloves of garlic, chopped
3 tablespoons lime juice
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1-2 teaspoons hot sauce
pinch of chili flakes

Directions:

  • Put all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil
  • Let simmer for 5 minutes stirring continuously or until thick and glossy.
  • Do not let cook for too long or the mixture will caramelize and become hard.
  • When finished strain.
  • Place wings in a steamer pot and cook until white.
  • Remove to broiler pan and broil until crispy.
  • Season them while you turn them in the oven.
  • When done remove from oven and baste sauce over the top and use leftover to dip.

  • pepper
  • hot sauce
  • Sauce
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 3/3 cup honey
  • ¼ cup fish sauce or coconut aminos
  • 3 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1-2 teaspoons hot sauce
  • pinch of chili flakes

    Put all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil
