Cherries are in season here at the Cottage!! I have so many fun memories of picking cherries with my family and friends. One year a friend was staying with us and we decided to pick cherries, we couldn’t reach the higher cherries so she shimmied up the tree to get them. She looked a monkey clinging to the thick part of the tree and stretching to reach the little red treasures with the rest of us telling her to be careful from below. Dear Anna is fearless and will not be outdone (love you girl!).
We’ve been wanting to make these for years but didn’t get around to it until just recently. We were expecting it to be pretty hard but turns our marshmallows are REALLY easy to make and they taste AMAZING! They don’t burn like store bought marshmallows do, so if you like your marshmallows nice and chared I’m sorry but they are still really good! We made these when we were processing maple sap into syrup (you can read about the whole process HERE) over a fire (perfect time to make s’mores right?), it was such a fun night to sit around the fire roasting marshmallows and laughing.
Need a quick and delicious recipe to treat mom to on Mother’s Day? We had some extra pudding leftover from our Flower Pot Pudding so we made these cute teacup pudding cups. These are so cute and tasty, the Graham adds the perfect amount of crunch.
Mother’s Day is just a couple weeks away so we thought we would whip up this fun and tasty recipe in honor of all of the mother’s out there and the women who have become like a dear mother. These cute little cups are the perfect thing to say “thanks mom”. Crusty cookie dough filled with creamy pudding for the perfect bite of sweet.
Need a great recipe for a spring event or Mother’s Day? You have got to try these adorable little flower tarts. They are super easy to make, and taste amazing! The perfect mix of buttery crust and sweet filling. Seriously they are delicious!
We stumbled on these adorable sunflower backing cups at Walmart the other day and just HAD to get them! Aren’t they cute? And of course, the perfect thing to go in them was our favorite chocolate cupcake batter! This recipe is super easy and SOOOOOO amazing tasting. Even people who aren’t a fan of chocolate or coffee love these. They are super moist and not too sweet. The icing- oh the icing! I could seriously eat this stuff with a spoon. It is the most amazing stuff you have ever tasted! Not sickeningly sweet but oh so good!
I don’t know about you but I am a huge fan of marshmallows. We’ve been wanting to try this for a while! This recipe is super easy and really tasty. You can serve it on a graham cracker or in other recipes like our S’more Mocha Frapp. We’ve even made S’mores with it!
St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner so we thought we would try a traditional Irish dish! This cake is really good! Not super sweet, the apple pieces, nutmeg and cloves are a wonderful mix of sweet and spice.
Mr. Cottage’s birthday is at the end of this week, and there is nothing he loves more than brownies – except maybe penguins-. These babies are truly amazing, rich, dark and handsome. Seriously they taste as good as they look.
Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! This is one of my favorite Valentine treats, super easy to make and so tasty. Sweet filling covered with a flaky crust. This recipe is great for kids, we took some to our little cousins and they loved them! It’s perfect for get-togethers, work, neighbors or just you.
