The Christmas Story | A Love Story Written For You

The Christmas story is one many of us are familiar with, perhaps so much so that it’s lost some of its weight. We’ve gotten so used to hearing it that we’ve begun to take it lightly.  The wonder and grace of the story fade, as it becomes just another Christmas story. Come, let’s slip away from the crowd, from the laughter, and chatter, the celebration, and search the heavens for a star. Let’s go, and seek a child lying in a manger. Come, quietly, and listen. Come near the barnyard critters and draw near to your savior. Come…

The Christmas Story

As the Christmas season envelops us, with all of its glitter and glory. May we all make the journey to a little town- to Bethlehem, bringing with us a grateful, caring heart, a humble spirit, as a gift to our Savior. Come let us adore Him. Let us seek Him, like never before. Let’s gather near the manger in renewed adoration, and worship our King.

The Christmas Story – The Greatest Story Ever Told

A thousand times in history a baby has become a king. But only once did a king become a baby… isn’t that worth pausing for? To slip away and follow the shepherds as they drew near to see this promised one, their savior. This is what Christmas is really about, a baby in a manger. This is why Christmas is important. And this is why this is the greatest Christmas story.

Let us catch the spirit of Christmas, with all of the joy and glitter, and happiness and let’s drop the final three letters so that it becomes the Spirit of Christ. The spirit of Christmas will fade, but the Spirit of Christ will never grow dim. Let’s remember the real reason for the season, let’s be intentional about how we celebrate this season. So that we don’t take for granted the one we are celebrating.

The same God that placed the star in orbit milennia before it appeared in celebration of our saviors birth, place you right where you are with the same intention to illuminate the darkness around you and shine His light into the darkest crevices of people's lives. Every hurting broken place that left a crack in you is a lighthouse for others. As long as there is light the darkness is defeated. May your Christmas whisper of Him for all to see.

The Christmas Story – Using Our Story To Proclaim His Story

The same God that placed that star in orbit millennia before it appeared in celebration of our Savior’s birth, placed you right where you are with the same intention to illuminate the darkness around you and shine His light into the darkest crevices of people’s lives.

Every hurting broken place that left a crack in you is a lighthouse for others. As long as there is light the darkness is defeated. May your Christmas whisper of Him to all who see. Christmas is the perfect opportunity for us to be a light in others’ storms, to shine God’s love into the darkest crevasse, and be a living breathing example of the Christmas story that was ever told.

The Christmas Story Begins At A Manger

The Christmas story isn’t about Santa, it doesn’t have reindeer or even elves. It’s raw and it’s beautiful, and yet it’s told so often we’ve forgotten the power it holds.  So come. Lay your gift -yourself, your heart, your worship- at the foot of the manger and gaze into your savior’s face… and let’s remember why Christmas is important.

Now, Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the reign of King Herod. About that time some wise men “Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star as it rose, and we have come to worship him.” (continue reading)
