Lone Star Burger

Don’t mess with Texas! We have been working on a series of hamburger recipes and wanted to have a Texas burger. We wanted to call it a Lone Star Burger but we were not sure all we wanted to put on it. We reached out to our Texas cousins Larry and Paula for some big Texas flavors for this burger. We packed our Lone Star Burger with some sweet BBQ’d pulled pork, fried jalapenos, crispy onions, Ortega chilies, pepper jack cheese, and bacon. One thing is for sure this baby is as big and flavorful as it’s namesake.

This burger is dedicated to our sweet cousin Larry.  A hero in our book that went to war when he was called and sacrificed for the freedom of the USA. He was exposed to chemicals and this year he passed away from the effects of those gasses. We honor your memory sir. You will be forever missed. Until we are all united in heaven.
